Unlike other 'Wing Bands' in the Air Training Corps (one squadron selected above others through competition); Sussex Wing Band is formed of a collection of musicians around the Wing.
Players include Drummers, Flautists, Trumpeters, Saxophonists, Horn players, Tuba players and Bagpipe players to name but a few!
Sussex Wing Band plays mainly for cadet-only events; although it often makes appearances at public events such as Shoreham Airshow on a regular basis; and most squadrons then split up into their own bands for parades like Armistice Day, or Battle of Britain Day.
